NHSGA and our players support the Mitchell Scholarship Fund through the McDonough Foundation. McDonough is a volunteer organization whose sole mission is to provide four-year college scholarships to young men and women employed at New Hampshire golf courses, who are attending colleges and universities of their choice. The Foundation solicits monies on an annual basis in support of this mission and is a not-for profit organization.

 

The NH Senior Golfers Association Scholarship Fund was renamed the Mitchell Scholarship Fund in 2024. It is named for Chuck and Kathi Mitchell, who spent more than sixty years between them as well-loved public school teachers in New Hampshire, and more than ten years running the NHSGA and working for golf in general in New Hampshire.
